The most popular attraction of Delta Discovery Park is the 1.3 kilometer zipline. The longest in Asia, it is quickly gaining more and more tourists as it's existence spreads like wildfire throughout the world. This is a must-see for adventurers who can (or will) brave the strong winds, quickly-changing elevations, the sheer length of it and the unforgettable experience.
The zip-line is located at the highest point in the park, and it ends where the 400m zip-line starts. Overall, the zip-line crosses 2 passes, starts and lands at 2 hills and goes over one and it takes 2 minutes to get from start to finish. Truly, this attraction is for the local, national and international public.
For the younger folks, the park has a back-and-forth 800m zip-line, 400 meters per crossing. Located below and in viewing range of the dormitory, and above the swimming pool, the zip-line offers a panorama view of what Delta Discovery Park is. The zip-line has two different positions, the "superman" and "sitting". For those who want to ride the 1.3 zipline, it is recommended that they practice here at the 400m. This is one of the rides in the park that people of all ages can experience.
For people with a taste for dirt, tires and tar, this is the ride to choose. Delta Discovery Park's vehicles, the ATV and Buggy, are yours to drive for a full 45 minutes. A tour guide is also available to help in navigating the dirt roads of Brgy. Bonbon, Butuan City. The trip gives a spectacular view of the city and Butuan Bay.
Going to the foot of Butuan's Symbol Moutain, Mt. Mayapay, it winds around many native houses of tribes in Butuan. Truly, the trek is both an adventure and a cultural show.
For naturalists, bird-spotters or just simple animal lovers, the aviary is the place to go.
Birds of every color can be found here, like the Philippine Hornbill and the Philippine Hawk-Eagle. There are also other animals there, like civet cats and lizards. This attraction of the park actually helps wildlife by placing them away from harm while making profit.
Not enough time to avail all the amenities in one day? Need a venue for large conventions? Want to stay overnight? Head on to the dormitory, where you can sleep. A quick pay and you have yourself a bed and free breakfast. Also, the function hall can fit lots of people, complete with stunning views of the city. And if you're worried about security, guards are constantly protecting the area 24/7.
For those who want to literally "chill out", the pool is the place to go. It is an artificially modified pool, located below the 400m zip-line. There are two pools, a deep one and a shallow one. Young people are recommended to stay in the shallow pool, as the other pool is 5-7 feet deep.
One reason to go to Delta Discovery Park is it's close relationship with nature. All its amenities are built to help nature. It is a symbol of ecological profit, and it shows how Butuan is close to nature. Truly, coming here will never be a lame moment.
